Miki Is Back With A Spatial Release On Spaziotempo: Lose Yourself To ‘Indigo Ancestry’
Listen to our premiere of the mesmerising track ‘London Irradiation’ by the iconic electronic music figure
We have been following the activity of Where We Met for a while: both as artists and with their labels, the trio (formed by Re-Up and Riccardo Piazza) has been pushing an agenda of forward-thinking electronic music, combining electro, house and techno influences with all their in-betweens in a creative fashion. Perhaps their sub-label ‘Spaziotempo’, which is releasing the record we want to talk about today, is the most significant of the non-compliant attitude of their activity.

The fourth release of Spaziotempo, ‘Indigo Ancestry’, is produced by Miki, a long-standing figure of the Italian underground scene who approached several different styles throughout his career. This release is no exception; despite its biting and defined sound design, the four tracks draw from different genres forming an exciting and innovative ensemble of features.
We are very proud to exclusively premiere the third track of the EP ‘London Irradiation’, a delirious ride of psychedelic melodies over an irresistible groove - an extemporaneous work which we fell in love with at the first listen.
And we highly recommend the reader to discover the whole release! The EP starts with “Space Time”, a trance sounding tune recalling some Italian 89-95 records; early trance features such as upbeat bass, deep pads and lovely reverbed arpeggios form a soothing and nostalgic melancholic vibe. The other two tracks show more experimental ideas, with ‘Phosphoros’ intermitting different layers of loops for a strong and dark futuristic dance vibe, and the final track ‘Friends In Kampala’ centered around a single note suspended synth line and intense layered percussions.
‘Indigo Ancestry’ is a record radiating freedom with the right measures of hints of nostalgia. One thing for sure, we want to hear more unrestricted releases such as this one.

Spaziotempo is a sub-label of ‘Where We Met’, hosting alternative sounds. Their releases are special, futuristic and non-conforming, delivering electronic music that it’s hard to describe as well as to locate in space and time, we highly recommend checking out their catalogue.
